Socal Paella was founded in 2010 in San Diego, CA. The chef, Aitor Beristain has been preparing Paella for over a decade. He now lives in San Diego and would like to bring the exquisite taste of Spain to your special event.
Paella is a widely known rice dish originating from the Valencia region in Spain. It is cooked in a “Paella Pan” which is flat and circular. Types of paella include Valencian paella, seafood paella, paella Rancho (meat only) and black paella.

The San Felipe Paella Festival in Mexico is held annually every March, gathering many paella chefs around the region. Aitor Beristain won 1st place in 2014 and 3rd place in 2015. Read more about San Felipe Paella Festival.
